The Catholic Community of Whiting-Robertsdale is inviting all to join us as the National Eucharistic Procession Ushers its way into Northwest Indiana on July 1 beginning at St Mary Byzantine Catholic Church.
Join the national pilgrim team beginning at noon at St. Mary’s Byzantine Church (2011 Clark St.).
From 12-6 Church will be open for prayer and confessions will be available (English & Spanish)
At 6 p.m., we begin with prayer in the Byzantine Tradition and speaker Mike Aquilina will speak on: “Like Lions Breathing Fire: The Early Christians and the Eucharist”
A solemn Eucharistic Procession will continue the evening through Whiting, stopping at local Marian shrines and ending at Whiting Lakefront Park.
There, the evening will continue with Benediction led by Bishop McClory at 7:30 p.m. and food, fellowship, music and dancing through the night.
