About our speakers:
Mark Therrien earned his doctorate in historical theology at the University of Notre Dame, where he remains as a post-doctoral teaching fellow. He focuses in early Christian scriptural exegesis, the theology of Origen of Alexandria, and the relations between the Latin and Greek Churches in the medieval period.
Mother Cecilia is a nun of Christ the Bridegroom Monastery in Burton, Ohio. She was raised Byzantine Catholic in her home parish, St. Joseph’s in Brecksville, Ohio, and joined Mother Theodora in founding the monastery in 2009. She loves silence, prayer, the outdoors, creating art and writing poetry.
