Indiana State Representative Matt Pierce (D) introduced House Bill 1020 Jan. 7, which aims to legalize assisted suicide. Assisted suicide is currently legal in nine U.S. states and in the District of Columbia.
St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Parish has organized an afternoon with public educator and lobbyist Alex Schadenberg, founder and executive director of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition, to educate our community about euthanasia and assisted suicide. He will also raise awareness about the strategies used by pro-euthanasia lobbyists to grow a support base and legalize this form of murder in the medical profession and the ways in which pro-life supporters can counter these tactics.
